I am wondering why folks at the Archive are not responding to this post. I am beginning to get the feeling that between the bands, the people who are in charge of shutting these types of sites down and the archive, no one cares enough to do anything about the situation. Very discouraging. A lot of lip service about keeping the music free and out of the hands of thieves and NO action. Prove me wrong and at least make some kind of announcement about what we can do and bout what you are going to do.

The issue has been reported to the legal department. Not sure where it goes from there.

That being said, what would you propose we do? We don't hold the copyright, and there's no feasible way of tracking exactly which download of which show is from the violator - if there is just one. The site is also (apparently) hosted in Sweden, which limits the reach even further.

I was originally told that as volunteers, moderators couldn't comment. Makes sense to me, so everything I read said to email info@archive. So I did. I didn't hear back so I called the main office. I was told the person who handles this kind if thing was out but I would hear back. Never heard back. I know who the archive is up against so I don't expect miracles. I do expect so basic communication however. I know as a a "patron" I'm a tiny cog. All I really wanted here was to get a confirmation from the powers that i had been heard. No one likes to be ignored.
